Victor Voner, Chief Estimator

Responsible for managing the company's project estimates, Victor is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during the Korean War from 1953 to 1956. Victor brings over 60 years of construction experience to the company and is in charge of all the Mechanical Contracting Departments which involve estimating, engineering and construction cost analysis.


David P. Hanlon, PWE, MBA, USN (Ret), General Manager

Master Chief David Hanlon is the General Manager of Veterans Development Corporation, Inc.  He brings 38 years of military engineering and construction experience having a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy Seabees retiring as the Command Master Chief of the 7th Naval Construction Regiment, Davisville, RI.  He also brings over 40 years of Municipal Government experience his last 20 years serving as Director of Public Works for the Town of North Reading, Massachusetts.  Master Chief Hanlon is a civil engineering graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University. He also holds an MBA from Nichols College.  He is a current member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Chaplain for the New England Chapter of the American Public Works Association, Massachusetts House Minority Leader's Appointee to the Governor's Infrastructure Finance Commission, and Chairman for the City of Newburyport Sewer Commission.  In addition, Master Chief Hanlon is a recipient of the 2004 American Public Works Association “Top Ten Award”, 2010 Wentworth Institute of Technology “Gold Leopard Award”, Massachusetts Joint House and Senate “Excellence in Leadership Citation”, and a recipient of the U.S. Navy Meritorious Service Medal.


Linda J. Brezinski, Director of Finance & Human Resources

Ms. Brezinski oversees the Financial and Human Resource Departments at Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. She has been with Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. since 2007, and brings with her an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of financial accounting and analysis as it pertains to the Federal Construction Contracting process. In addition, she coordinates all of the I.T. services associated with Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. Ms. Brezinski has 28 years of experience in the Financial and Human Resource Industry.


Janet Wilson, Construction-Office Administrator

Janet Wilson has been employed by Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. since 2004. She oversees the General Office Operations being responsible for Construction and Office Administration. She is also the Executive Administrator to the General Manager. Because of her experience with all aspects of the company's operations, Ms. Wilson provides invaluable general administrative support to both the estimating and project management divisions. In her position of Construction Administrator, she provides a breadth of support to both the General Manager and President/CEO.

 

Lisa Malatesta, Contracts Estimating Administrator

Ms. Malatesta joined Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. in 2011 and brought with her 20 years of financial and administrative experience. Her prior experience includes working for Certified Public Accounting Firms and trade contractors. She serves our company as a Contract Estimating Administrator. Ms. Malatesta attended Salve Regina University where she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.

 

Melissa Wilson, Executive Administrator

Ms. Wilson has been with Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. since 2012 and brings with her 15 years of administrative, customer service, operations, and human resources experience. She oversees the daily functions of the office and is also the Administrative Assistant to the General Manager.

 

Randy Kirkpatrick, Safety Director

As Safety Director, Randy ensures all projects adhere to strict safety standards, including Infectious Disease Containment, First Aid, Ergonomics, and OSHA Industrial Hygiene and Respiratory Protection. He is also certified by the U.S. Department of Labor as a Safety and Health Specialist, and for the Permit Required Confined Space Standard. He has been with Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. since 2006. Randy is a decorated combat Vietnam Veteran of the 101st  ABN Div (Special Operations) 75th Airborne Ranger Regiment, a Purple Heart recipient, and a life member of the Military Order of Purple Heart and past Chapter Commander. Randy is a life member of Worldwide Army Rangers, Inc., U.S. Army Ranger Association, 101st Airborne Division, (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol) LRRP- Ranger Association, Army Veterans Group, Military Network Group, and U.S. Veterans Group. Randy is an active member in the World Safety Organization, Construction Safety Roundtable of Eastern Mass., American Society of Safety Engineers, Greater Boston Chapter, Environmental Health & Safety Professionals, Construction Health & Safety, and American Wind Energy Association.


James Mientkiewicz, Chief Engineer

Jim possesses over 30 years of Engineering, Vertical Construction and Design/Build experience working on all three sides of the Construction Equation (Owner Rep. : Design Engineer : Contractor).  His foresight into programming projects lends itself to providing our Clients with Reasonable, Responsible and Comprehensive Pricing and Programmed Proposals.   He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Penn State University majoring in Structural Engineering.

James E. Farrell, Mechanical Estimator/Project Manager

Jim has been with Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. for the last twenty-five years as an Estimator and Project Manager for Plumbing, Piping Projects, and Sprinkler Projects. He also is the purchasing agent for Plumbing stock for Veterans Development Corporation, Inc.

Mr. Farrell is licensed for Master Pipefitting, Unrestricted Master Sheet Metal, Sprinkler Contractor, Journeymen Plumber, and Master Plumber he also holds the Corporate License for Plumbing & Gas Fitting along with OSHA 30 Hours and Medic First Aid.


Roy M. Medina, Mechanical Estimator - Manager, LEED AP

Recently joining Veterans Development in 2012, Roy brings with him nearly 20 years of Engineering and Mechanical Estimator and Project Manager experience. Specializing in design build, commercial, healthcare, research, renovation, new construction and institutional projects, Roy guarantees our clients receive valued and efficient proposal pricing. Supporting the project management team and implementing vital estimating and project software systems are among the assets Roy brings to Veterans Development Corporation.

Roy attended Salem State College where he holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and is a LEED Accredited Professional.


Kevin Bishop, Assistant Director of Operations

Kevin Bishop oversees the day to day operations of the construction service division of Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. which include field and the project management staff.

Mr. Bishop brings a strong work ethic having over 20 years of industrial mechanical experience. Kevin also has overseen mechanical projects both as a field supervisor and project manager. Mr. Bishop's expansive field experience have given him a strong ability to evaluate and address field issues using sound problem solving techniques resulting in smooth process of job flow and cost control.

Education background includes four years – Metal Fabrication, Technical Drawings & Blueprint Reading


Melissa Coe, LEED AP, Senior Project Manager

Ms. Coe joined Veterans Development Corporation in 2012 bringing 15 years of broad-based project management experience. She has a portfolio that spans healthcare, research, educational, and commercial markets with projects upwards of $350 million. She is a versatile project manager with expertise in driving projects and leading cross-functional teams consistently meeting key deliverables. With her exemplary communication and leadership skills, she exceeds client expectations maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and success on all projects.

Ms. Coe attended the University of New Hampshire where she holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science and Secondary Education, as well as a Masters of Education from Yale University. She has been a LEED Accredited professional since 2009, is proficient with various estimating and project management software programs and is OSHA 10 certified.


Stephanie Motta, Assistant Project Manager

Ms. Motta joined Veterans Development Corporation, Inc. in 2012 and brought with her 10 years of administrative, operations, and project management experience in the construction field. Her expertise in the office and in the field, dealing with our clients and subcontractors as well as equipment provides for efficiently run projects and safe and quality-oriented job sites. She is efficient with many estimating software programs and tools.

Ms. Motta attended Bay State College where she holds an Associate's Degree in Applied Science, and has received a Construction Management Certificate from Northeastern University. She is OSHA 10 Certified.


Debra Dolan, Bookkeeper – Accounts Payable

Ms. Dolan brings 21 years of bookkeeping experience to the company. She performs all the day to day financial data entry, accounts payable, as well as the organization and retention of subcontract documentation including project contract purchase orders, insurance and tax required documents. Debra joined the company in 2012 and directly supports the Director of Finance position.

Ms. Dolan attended Quincy Junior College and holds an Associate's Degree in Science with a major in Accounting.
